02 難度

英文難學嗎？

英語入門容易，精通不易。基礎文法不複雜，沒有名詞性別，動詞詞尾變化也少；但拼寫、發音和片語動詞需要多年練習才能運用自如。

英文有哪些容易之處？

  • 沒有性別，詞尾變化也很少

    桌子只要說 the table。動詞幾乎不變：I work、you work、they work。只有 he、she、it 後面的動詞要加 -s。

  • 生活中處處都能接觸

    電影、音樂、遊戲和網路上有大量真實英語內容，還常附有字幕，隨時都能練習聆聽。

  • 單字短小，運用靈活

    許多日常單字只有一個音節，而且同一個字常能當名詞也能當動詞：a run、to run；a text、to text。

英文有哪些難點？

  • 拼寫和發音不一致

    Though、through、tough 和 cough 都以 -ough 結尾，讀音卻各不相同。記單字時要同時熟悉聽到的讀音和看到的拼寫。

  • 片語動詞

    Get up、get over、get by 和 get away with 的意思差異很大，母語人士在口語中也經常使用。

05 文法

用四個概念掌握英文文法

  1. 英語幾乎沒有格變化，因此主詞、動詞、受詞的順序能表明誰做了什麼。調換順序，意思就會反過來。

  2. 「Have + 過去分詞」將過去和現在連結起來，可用來談經歷或近況，但不搭配 yesterday 這類已結束的時間。

  3. 大多數動詞需要助動詞 do 來構成疑問句和否定句。忘記使用 do 是學習者最常見的錯誤。

  4. 「A」用來引入新事物，「the」則指雙方都已知道的事物。許多語言沒有冠詞，因此這點較難掌握。
